So we are finally in Rexburg! We are so excited we are settled into our little apartment and we love it! It is kind of small, but it will work perfectly for us. Our complex has everything we need from laundry to exercise, but we also have a pool and hot tub! So we are loving it!
When we first arrived we were excited about how quiet it was. We soon found out that it does stay pretty quiet except for what I like to call "happy hour" on the weekdays it happens around 8pm and Saturday its kind of an all day thing and then on Sunday its right when everyone gets out of church. So yeah. It isn't very quiet around those times. All you hear is the creaking of beds and people turning on their TV's trying to drown the sound out. Plus, the walls here are pretty much paper thin. I can hear my neighbors conversation almost clear as day. And I am sure they can hear ours. But oh well! We still love it. It is a great first apartment!

This is where I leave you.
As I sit here eating frosted flakes, with no milk I might add, I am overjoyed about the new journey I am about to embark. Tomorrow I will be on a plane that will arrive in Salt Lake City, Utah. Then the next day I will be on the long journey up to Idaho to move into an apartment. Now, the best part about this new journey and this apartment is who I will be sharing it with. My darling husband. I feel so fortunate that we are going to be able to financially support ourselves and live on our own. And I hope I don't regret saying this, but I am grateful that we will have to struggle a little bit and live as poor college students do.
I am grateful for this opportunity and I am so glad I have my best friend to experience it with! Idaho, here we come!

IT ' S O F F I C I A L ! ! !
One month from today Nick and I will be moving into our very own apartment in Rexburg, Idaho! I am so beyond excited! The place is fully furnished thankfully. So we don't have to buy big furniture items right away. It is furnished with a bed, a desk, a bookshelf, a couch, and a small food area with a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and hot plate. We will be in that apartment for a little while and then move to a bigger one when we have the chance! I am so excited!

in need of a new view.
I have been so freaked out lately by how badly I want to move back to Idaho. I don't really like Idaho that much because, well, it's kind of boring. There isn't much to do (especially in Rexburg) and I get bored easily. Now granted, I didn't have Nicolas there with me, but it was still pretty boring. However, I find myself wanting to move back there so badly. I don't know if it's because I am tired of living with my parents already or I just want to be on my own or something else, but all I know is I need to get the heck out of here as soon as I can so that I don't go crazy. At least if I had a job I feel like it would make life a lot easier and useful. I just feel like I am floating. I clean the house to keep myself busy. And there is only so much you can clean before the whole thing is spick and span. I just don't want to go completely insane...

-Sydney Taylor Bruning - Part Two - Year Two -
Saturday was two years.
Time flies baby girl.
I can hardly believe it has been two years since I said goodbye to you. I can still see your bright red lips that I could see from across the room. I can still feel the hole in my chest when I saw you laying there. When I looked at you and just prayed that your eyes would open... But they didn't.
I saw a picture of you a couple weeks ago and it made me smile. I think for a split second I forgot you were gone. I saw the smile on your face and it felt like you were still here. I would give anything for that. I hope you know that I love you and I still miss you. I always will. The pain that I felt will never leave my memory. The pain is lesser now, but I still remember just how powerful it was. I still remember it.. and I always will.
Sydney, I hope you're doing okay up there. I know that you are safe and in good hands. That's what makes me happy. I know you are going to be okay and I know you are okay. I hope you are looking out for us down here. We love you syd. I hope you know that,
Red lips and a laugh to fill a room,
A beautiful smile,
A beautiful girl.
She made the day brighter
She made the night more cheerful.
She knew how to make you smile
She knew how to keep your spirits up
Then one day we lost her.
We lost her laugh
and her smile
and her spirit.
But we will always remember those red lips
we will always remember her laugh
we will always remember her smile
we will always remember Sydney Taylor Bruning.
