~ C H I L D H O O D ~

Today at church I spent my time in the nursery. I absolutely love being in there with the little kids. They are all so full of life and always seem to love the world and love everyone (except when someone takes their toy) All of the kids today just seemed extra cheery and happy. When I brought out the camera they were all intrigued by it and they wanted to see all the pictures. It amazes me how innocent they are. They don't have a care in the world, no bills to pay or places to go. All they worry about are their toys.. if only that's all adults had to worry about.. Even when they get mad at each other it last for a minute and then next thing you know they are playing like they are best friends. I think this is why our Savior counseled us to become as a child. To submit unto him and be quick to forgive even if someone took our best toy. I wish I could return to childhood and not have to worry about anything. Just me and my toys. Returning to that stage is something that is obviously never going to happen, ever, but we can change our mind set to thinking like a child. Not thinking about toys and candy, but thinking in simple ways about problems. Instead of hiding that we are mad at someone tell them. It saves a lot of anger, because when you hold on to a grudge it just makes you more angry. Unless you straighten it out there is no way to fix the problem.

Our whole lives we want to stop being called a child. We want to grow up and drive and go on dates and get married, but maybe we are all going the wrong way. Maybe we should be clinging to our innocence like it is the very thing keeping us alive. We need to change the direction we want to head and realize that what we want will be here all too soon, but for some of us it is too late. We are being forced into adulthood by everyone. We learn about cuss words at a much younger age. We even learn the vulgarities of sex before we even know it hits us. The world today wants us to start being adults as soon as we can talk, but that is not the direction we need to be heading we need to enjoy childhood and stay innocent minded for as long as we can. because before we know it we will be 18 and ready to take on the world.

~Remember When I Went To Prom~

I went to Prom with one of the most amazing guys in the world! His name is Joseph!
This is a night that I will never forget:) It was Mormon prom, one of the coolest thing they have out east. They spend about six months planning the actual event. They choose a church building and they deck it out in the theme. This year was "Belle of the Burg" a cruise ship theme. They did an amazing job. They cover the walls in cardboard and cut out holes as windows. It did not even look like a church building. The people in the photo's are some of the most important people in the world to me. You will see as you read the stories beneath each photo:)

Joseph was an hour late picking me up, just saying. But when he got there I was so happy. No we weren't dating at the time and we aren't right now, but anyone would be lucky to be his girlfriend. I introduced him to Café Rio and he loves it//

Senior Prom is made out to be this huge event, but when in reality it just seems like another day that you dress up all pretty and go out for a night. I must say the prep for prom is insane, but the night makes it worth it//

This corsage was amazingly beautiful, he spent a lot of money on it. He also matched everything to my dress perfectly//

I was so ready to dance the night away with my best friends, I just wanted to get there already//

These girls are so adorable. This is Cassie, Liz, Me, and Megan//

When I first met Joseph I thought he didn't like me. He would always give me the 'stank' eye. But as it turns out he thought I hated him and that's why he would give me dirty looks.//

Alyssa, Megan, Cassie, Mariah
I've known Alyssa since middle school, she is an amazing singer and always has been// Megan is an amazing person. She is always looking out for everyone, especially me// Cassie is one of my best friends and always will be. She has always been there for me, and our friendship has been through thick and thin, but we always stick up for each other// Mariah is a quirky little thing. she has her own style and she doesn't care what other people think about it. She is a writer and she is the sweetest girl you will ever meet//

The girls! We all have been friends for a long time, well most of us. We know each other from school, basketball, and girls camp.

Senior boys who have grown up a lot in the past year. Colin is the coolest white boy you will ever meet... he gets all the girls numbers.... somehow...... //

Boys don't like taking pictures... so this was the struggle... like forreal.
Lastly MEGAN! she has put up with so much bull crap from me. She sat next to me in English for my senior year. She got to hear all of my ridiculous boy stories and somehow I convinced her to come to Mormon prom. She is adorable and I am so glad I got to spend so much time with her! we also had a lot of fun back stage in theatre:) making fun of performers while they are on stage is one of our specialties//

Who is Emma?

Who is Emma?

If I had to explain myself to another person being as a third party here is what I would say.

~Emma is a girl who never knows what she wants, but is always certain of her goal. She hates arguing with anyone. Confrontation kills her inside. She wants to be anyone's friend even if she may come off a little stuck up. She tries to be funny, but sometimes it comes off rude. She knows who she is and what she wants to accomplish in life. She goes through twists and turns making some right choices and some wrong, but she tries to make things right. she doesn't always succeed in the things she wants, but she learns to get over it and try again. She loves her older brother no matter how many times he was ever rude to her. she says she hates her little brother, but if anything ever happened to him she wouldn't be able to continue without him. Her dad means the world to her. She wishes she could spend more time with him. Her mom is her absolute best friend. She does everything with her and she cries when she thinks about losing her even for a second. she loves make-up. It is her passion. Her family doesn't really understand why you need so much, but it makes her happy. It lets her creative side come out in something girly. She also can never make up her mind. she has had her room color change a lot it has been Purple, Orange, Pink, Blue, and Tan. She likes to change things up a lot. She is happy at the moment even if she has made mistakes before. She loves her family and she loves herself~

Simplify.

This is Cassie. She is an absolute beauty. These pictures are very simple. There is no crazy story behind them or epic theme, they are just simple. Simple clothing, simple places, and simple lighting. I feel like we get caught up in the glamor of things a lot of the time, but that's not always our fault. people seem to glamorize smoking and drinking as if it is the greatest thing in the world. like hanging out with your friends and getting wasted is the most fun you could ever have. Well I think we should simplify. Simple can be a lot of fun. Just spending time with friends or family. going to get ice cream or even sitting at home watching tv with your friends. It's simple, but at least you know who cares enough for you to just come sit with you when you don't want to be alone. Simple things can be the most beautiful of them all.

See You Later

Today has been very inspiring to me. I looked outside and noticed that even though the day was coming to a close it was still absolutely beautiful outside. The lighting was perfect. Even though the day was almost over and the sun is about to disappear beneath the horizon it wasn't saying goodbye, but see you later. This is how I feel when I say goodbye to people. It is never goodbye forever. It's just see you later.
